On the occasion of International Women’s Day, fair share! for women artists called for the rededication of the berlin modern – currently in construction – as the Museum of Women Artists Berlin (MdK*B). The programme included speeches, an augmented reality experience, music and performances.
Inspired by the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., the MdK*B exhibits works by women artists from all centuries with an emphasis on those previously overlooked. With its innovative approach, it rejects elitist structures in the museum sector and establishes a caring culture, including for its employees. The MdK*B focuses attention and brings recognition to the diverse, radical, controversial, and ingenious work of female artists!
Many fair share! activists, visitors and guests celebrated with us a museum vision and 5 years of fair share!
